VDO is a brand of Continental, a leading automotive supplier and tyre manufacturer.

Within its Vehicle Networking and Information (VNI) business area, the Commercial Vehicles and Services (CVS) business unit accommodates the specific requirements of the commercial vehicle, special vehicle and aftermarket sector.
VDO became an important product brand of the Continental AG corporation in December 2007. Today, VDO is one of the world's largest providers of replacement parts and services for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. In 2012, Continental acquired global diagnostic specialist, Omitec Group Ltd. This allowed Continental to expand its product portfolio and combine its strengths to offer multi-brand diagnostic solutions from Omitec under the VDO brand. The Omitec range comprised of a broad spectrum with many marketed under the Omitec, Crypton and Autodiagnos brands. Although Omitec and Autodiagnos soon became part of the VDO brand, Crypton remains a leading brand of workshop equipment for Continental.
The VDO range includes replacement spare parts (fuel systems, actuators for central locking systems, engine actuators, HVAC blower & fan systems, screen & headlight washer systems, sensors, tyre pressure monitoring systems), diagnostic solutions and diesel repair service. VDO also ensures the supply of genuine parts once automotive manufacturers discontinue production of a vehicle.
